This one hits close to home. I lost my health at a young age and was left to fight life threatening pain. I have been called an addict and drug seeker by friends family and docs during the opioid epidemic where pain patients were forgotten. I lost a job I loved due to my health and nearly everything these calloused hands have worked for. Ive often have wondered why but it’s just the road I’ve came. I can say without this journey that lead me back to God I wouldn’t be half the husband or father I am. I give thanks to the good Lord above.

As an ex convict myself and alcoholic. Two failed relationships man I feel this song. I'm struggling but my only son just got accepted to a major university! So I did something right in my life. I'm an ex convict with a good heart ❤️ just trying to Dib what's right. I have severe depression and PTSD after so many years in prison in California but I still haven't given up. Some of us fathers are only alive because our children are. Dying is easy but living is hard but I don't give up. Never ! Thank you for this song brother
