Two time VQ owner here: follow basic maintenance, you'll be fine. As a younger man, I used to routinely drive from VA beach to Austin; not to mention all the elements of daily driving. My own 08 coupe has served me over seven years and counting; hell I'm buying a used Z soon, and I'm still gonna keep it too.

Beautiful car! Yeah I get bad MPG in my 2013 G37s convertible. For me, about 15 City MPG and I don't drive wild. That's great you have such low miles on yours! For the cross-section between performance and comfort, I'm in love with this car.

I have a Q60s luckily I work mostly from home so my gas isn't horrible. My wife has my older G37 (his and her cars) and she drives a lot for work. She has a very light foot which helps her.

MPG is solely dependent on how you drive, and whether its bumper to bumper traffic, like the city; or open road like the suburbs/highways.

Nice car brah. I've watched a few of your vids. The dif bushing is also a problem on the 350z. They recommend installing a different mount to stabilize it better.

Love my VQ's I have an automatic 08 g35xs sedan and a 6 speed manual 2008 g37s coupe. Very reliable. P0300 is the mischief code. I just fixed a P1078 on the g35 too easy sensor clean fixed that.

Great video! Crazy how you get so little mpg I have a 2015 Infiniti Q40 sedan non sport (G37 rename) with 156, 000 miles and I get 20 in the city and about 22-24 on the Highway

I like these and want one but it seems like there are quite a few vital design flaws... It's funny you bring up German cars as less reliable though, my 2005 bmw e46 has 175, 000 miles, haven't done an oil change in two years, and no issues other than a slight pressure leak in my coolant system so it evaporates a little bit over time so I add a lil bit of coolant every few weeks. 0 issues with engine, transmission, electronics, subframe, rust, they're solid cars. A guy I know has an e46 with over 200k and his is in even better condition than mine. But let's keep in mind that most of the issues with newer German cars nowadays are not design flaws, but intentional features of planned obsolescence unfortunately. Though that happens with many cars not just German ones.
But I do like the g37, I could probably deal with all its issues since I always loved these in video games

Thanks for sharing the insights. I am confused to pick one -- 2010 Infiniti G37, 2011 BMW Z4 or 2005 Lexus SC 430. What do you suggest?

I got the same car you have on vibrant red, 1st issue I had was the heater hose went out when doing a big pull lol, after that no more issues and regarding the gas... I get about 19 mpg on the city and close 23 on th hwy... not sure why yours suck so much gas

It is not the fuel pump...it is the sending unit that gives the wrong fuel level reading.

Might want to look into the dealership for your oil changes. I pay $79.99 standard, usually have a $15 off deal. All dealerships were running specials during the holidays, I got mine done for $19.99. Was $32 after shop fees etc...But sounds like you are in the same price range with a little less hassle.

I lost count of how many times you said 'car'.
I just know I love my 2011 sedan with 90k and still have not spent even a thousand bucks when I got it at 18k.

About mpg, I found it my mpg went up by about 3 after I replaced diff, transfer case, transmission fluids.

The engine has been perfect for 120k miles, now my idler pulleys sound a little rough. It is about time to replace them together with the tensioner pulley. It is ok. Just pulleys. 😅
