Cameron says UK system of arms exports to Israel not the same as US

UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron described Britain's arms export system and scale to Israel as being completely different from that of the United States, stating that the sales it licenses are relatively small and governed by strict procedures.

Cameron was responding to a question regarding whether Britain would follow the US after it warned that it would withhold weapons from Israel in the event of a major invasion of Rafah.

The former Prime Minister added that the UK does not support a major operation in Rafah as it currently stands and will not until there is a very clear plan on how to protect people and save lives.
