Hari, very nice work on the LEM. I have worked for the company that built the actual LEM back in the late 60's and early 70's. That work predates me by a few years (I'm only there 40 years), but my father actually worked on it. I had worked in the building in Bethpage, New York, where it was assembled from 1976 - 2001. The Apollo program had already ended before I got there. Just some history -- that hanger was also used to build all of the Space Shuttle wings and a prototype forward swept wing test aircraft called the X-29. We moved out of that building in 2001 and it eventually became Grumman Studios where many scenes from movies and TV episodes are filmed in that same assembly building. There have been 3 live TV performances done there recently; The Sound of Music, Captain Hook, and most recently, The Wiz.

Thanks for showing this model. It was a huge part of my childhood, and I still get a thrill every time I see one.
