GTA 5 - Hao's Special Works Explained! (Upgrades, Prices, & More!)

Explanation as to Hao's Special Auto Works functions and which cars are available to install these modifications.

I will say, I really like the idea that they’re putting a special badge on the back to indicate this premium upgrade. Gives other players something to look for and get excited about at car meets, just like a real life car meet.

It’s pretty criminal, they are locking this behind such high paywalls when in reality next gen cars should just be that from the get go . As if making you pay for the next gen experience wasn’t bad enough they throw this crap on top . I’m surprised you don’t have to pay lester to unlock 60fps…

One car that I was really hoping would be able to be upgraded is the zr350, it could've given us the veilside or rocket bunny style widebody kits

It's definitely weird logic that we need to pay 1.84M for the "HSW performance upgrade" and after it we still need to buy top end HSW engine, turbo, etc. upgrades separately for another few hundred Ks...all of those should be part of separately priced HSW performance stage packages. I love the idea tho and I hope that a bunch of enjoyable but cars will get the HSW treatment sooner or later... :)

The Deveste 8 should have been included. If there is any car that needs a performance boost it's that one...it should have 2 full bars for acceleration and top speed, coming in well over 200mph.

I was really looking forward to the older vehicles revamp, I thought that considering the new vehicles HSW updated were around a 500k, these older cars would be around the same, however they weren’t and to keep it short I am a bit disappointed at how’d they implemented it.

If they were gonna do this they should've at least added a bunch of cosmetics. The banshee didn't really need this either there's already the 900r.

i think it been just internal upgrades its better than having it change your car that way you can make a build you like an make insanely fast but thats me

I got the banshee for free from legendary motorsports and i hsw upgraded it for free as well, i only paid for the tuning parts, it wasn't too crazy.
Ofc its very expensive if u start from zero with no expansion packs or nothing. I bought the gta 5 for ps4 i got Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition and then migrated that profile to the next-gen gta online which came in very handy.
Im truly in love with the next-gen gta online, never have i ever expected it to be so good and the best of it all is almost everyone in the lobbys are low levels that started from zero and it gives it a "make love, not war" type of vibe. I know, nobody asked, but i felt like sharing this with my fellow gta onlineners.

Man that Banshee looks so good in red! I guess I found a color for the new HSW version :D. I will probably use a factory hex color, but damn that looks incredible.

I used my free upgrade on the drage bike and saved 1.4mill. Paying for the upgrades on the new cars wasn't a problem.
