I got the free car without doing the challenge, not sure what this is about. Don't think you need to do it since rockstar said it's something you get when you get this "next gen version" or something like that.

Character transfer question: Does it only transfer my money and rank? Do I keep my businesses and properties etc because nobody is mentioning this in their videos and this new "Career Tracker" feature makes it seem like we start again... If I'm losing all my stuff, why should I upgrade?

The free car isn’t showing up for me, and I did the race under the 8 minutes, why isn’t it there ??

I don’t know if this is a glitch or an intended change, but I did the Hao time trial on my second character (the one I used most recently before migration) and got the free car. But when I went on my other character, the game behaved as if I did the time trial already (character mission progress and unlocks used to be separate) and Hao’s special works was already unlocked. No free car however.
