Question - does wood bleach get fumey? I wanna bleach down the old handrail in my house. I think it's mahogany.

Can a dark India ink stain be removed from a very dry antique table top. The table was made around 1910 and I have no idea how long the stain has been there. Mission Oak 60 inch round deep walnut stain, very little varnish left on it. If not, I was thinking of just embracing it's history in the refinish. Thanks.

This is actually birch, not maple. The Conant Ball Modern Mates is all birch. Regardless, this looks good and am following the same for my table.
