That is great. I made one years ago but your design is better. Thank you and bravo from 🇨🇦

Wonderful. Just so you know, you can angle the bed of the bandsaw and cut the edge of your circle at an angle as well.

Very helpful! It’s more simple than I’d imagined.

I'm going to add this to my jigs to make list.

Quick and to the point 👍🏻 I did this recently with one of those tiny ryobi band saws. I think it was a 9” and I was cutting 18” circles from 1/2” particle board for rolling targets.

Easy, effective and reusable. Great tip.

For the larger circles, I would make a larger 'with a hole in it' piece, to avoid any vertical wobble. This can work on a table saw, if you cut slowly. Not on tiny circles though.

Building tables I built a circle jig that cut up to a six foot circular tabletop. more or less the same.

Very good idea, specially the ones without a hole. 😊

This has inspired me to make a video showing how to draw a perfect circle only using a pencil and a piece of string.

You can cut circles on table saws also.

Nice tip. Wondered how you would do it without a center pivot hole

The only problem.
My scroll saw doesnt have near that much room. Maybe a 6 or 8 in circle at best.

but make sure that you are using a sharp blade with the correct tension on the blade !

Still the same after 50-70 yrs of this method.
What's the most useful tool in a wood shop?
The jigs you build.

or just anchor a router to a central point and turn it

I used a 3/4" by 3/8" bar and use the miter slot instead of a fence for my jig. I think it makes the jig more secure.

same thing can be accomplished with a table saw, router, disk sander and others. Look up Nick Engler
