I like how Yoda kind of shattered the illusion of "Anakin being the perfect man" before Vader completely destroyed it with his reveal.
Like oh yeah, Anakin was a great man, he was so perfect . . . "Much anger in him . . . like his father . . ." . . . Oh shoot, you mean Anakin had anger issues? . . .
Though for me, I already knew, my earliest Star Wars memory was when I was like 5 or 6 at my Aunt's Christmas Party, I walk into the living room to join the adults, and on TV, Luke is screaming "Father, please!" . . . lol

This line was in the original book. The Adventures Of Luke Skywalker. Great novel. After watching The Phantom Menace, I've often wondered if Red Leader was actually Kitster!

can't remember where I read/saw this, but apparently some later retconn said that Red leader actually fought in the Clone Wars alongside Anakin, which make more sense, Red leader looks to be late 40s/early 50s, so he would've been old enough to have fought in the Clone Wars.

This part was in the original novel ghostwritten by Alan Dean Foster. I've always wondered if there may have been a deleted scene. Personally wish they had left that in as it would have served to explain why Red Leader chose Luke to lead the last attack run.

I see why they removed the scene— if you can just run into someone who knew your father on a different planet, it makes the universe seem very small and unpopulated. Much of the dialogue in A New Hope (and ESB & ROTJ) is exposition painting a picture of how big the universe is.

Then why did Darth Vader say to obi-wan “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker. I did.” “The same way I will destroy you!” When anakin skywalker was like skywalker’s father, and anakin became darth Vader?

Not really because if it was common knowledge that Anakin Skywalker was Luke Skywalker's father, don't you think Darth Vader would have found out before he did?

Red leader got closer to Vader than he thought at the end of Rogue One. I enjoyed how they put some of the "original" ANH Red Squadron characters into that one. Finally know what happened to Red Five 😂
