Lost my beautiful angel of a Wife to stage IV colon cancer after 33 years of marriage.
We had plans to retire and grow old together since we were dating in the 9th grade.
I’m totally devastated without her.
Thank God we raised 5 wonderful Daughters and have 12 Grandchildren and one on the way.
I’m only 53 years old.
Been four months and still hurts pretty bad.
That’s a long time to have such a one in a billion marriages with the perfect Woman to lose it all seemingly over night even though it was a 16 month ordeal since her diagnosis.
I know shes waiting for me and I will see her again.

I had colon cancer and I had my op to remove it on 16 September 2014 and my Dr shortened my bowel.
I am 10 yrs down the road from it. I didn’t have any chemo or radiation. So far so good. I wish you well, do not give up. Sending love & light. ❤️❤️‍🩹🤗🇳🇿

My husband had blood in his stool, it took 3 years to get his colon cancer diagnosis. He was so lucky it was only stage 1. Didn't need chemo, radiation therapy or anything besides surgery

I had: cancer and I was 38. They told me if I would have waited 6 more months but I'll come. Would have been completely different. I had cancer all over my colon and had to have a complete proctocollectomy, that's the complete removal of my large intestine I ended up getting small bowel cancer a year ago and then again a year later, they caught it right away. A week. This is precautionary. I do have Lynch syndrome and unfortunately colon cancer is the main cancer that people with this get. I am always so happy to hear about survivors and people that are saved because of early detection. If you're over 50 or if you have a family history at all, get out there and get checked.

took me almost 15 years to get a hysterectomy and then when I had a heart attack they tried to send me home! DOCTORS DONT LISTEN TO OR BELIEVE WOMEN!

Your story makes me cry😢. As a former nuclear med and PET scan Tech I b lived through peoples’ horrible stories daily. Famous and infamous people, our Pediatrician and my father in law and my boss. I had tons of empathy, but finally it was too overwhelming after 30 years!!!’ 😱😭😭😭. Hope you finally got better and have a huge family— remember adoption is a win-win for all!

My bro passed with undiagnosed liver cancer in Jan and my 30 yr old nephew passed a week ago with undiagnosed colon cancer. My bro lasted a month and my nephew 3 months, to say that Canada's allopathic medical system is broken is an understatement. We need to be become our own doctors by eating clean, fasting, exercising and simplifying our lives. Probably wouldn't kill us to humble ourselves a tad and get on our knees every now and then to connect with our Creator.

Blessings to this beautiful lady. My father had colon cancer in his 40's. He lived to age 81 and it was not from cancer that he passed. I believe you have many many years with your precious family. ❤️🕊❤️🕊❤️

Healing prayers. My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1983 and unfortunately it spread. Thank God they have more advanced treatments now

You and I are the lucky ones. I visited a doctor about cataracts, and was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma, which spread to my optic nerve, sonus and lymph node. It was caught just in time, and I have been off of chemo and radiation treatments for a year. I encourage everyone to get tested regularly. Not everyone gets as lucky as me. I' m glad you have improved, and wish you well

I get so angry hearing these stories about not being taken seriously by doctors. And yes, it happens to women more than men. This goes back hundreds of years when women who did not fit the "normal" category and advocated for themselves were labeled "crazy" and legally thrown into mental asylums without consent.
We still see vestiges of this; doctors routinely dismiss symptoms as "psychological." It happened to me too, and I immediately found another doctor.
I wish you all the best, and sending strength, peace and lots of healing energy. ❤

My friend got pissed about something awful at the start. It turned out to be oesophageal cancer (never smoked very rarely drank alcohol and ate very healthy). At the start the doctor dismissed her, sending her home with antacid. Even after her eventual diagnosis they sent her for 3 different scans over the course of 2 months, turns out all 3 could have been done on the same day, before starting chemotherapy. 2 different kinds of chemotherapy, neither worked and she was gone 10 months after diagnosis. Take note, the city she lived in has a dedicated cancer hospital!!! She was 53.

Doctors need to LISTEN to what their patients are saying, not just “hear” you. It’s vital! WE KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH OUR BODIES!
