It took me 1 year to dig tunnel under my garden

In this video i finally finish digging my great escape tunnel in my back garden.
First i do a recap of the years highlights, then i finish the final 5ft of the tunnel.

This is extraordinary! I went to see the film The Great Escape as a lad when it first came out in Canada. I then started tunnelling with a pal soon after. We had to cope with sandy soil but managed. That was back in 1963. We didn’t have all the gear you have and just used shovels, buckets and wood to shore it up. You’ve brought back some very happy memories for me. Thank you from a fellow tunneller. I’ll now subscribe.

Can't help but think how much my grandfather would have loved to have watched this project. He'd have thought it brilliant and would have started digging his own tunnels from the house to the garage and then onto the next place.

This is a good example of what you are able to do when you have the tools and skills to work with metal.
The world starts to open up with woodworking but metal is just another level.
I love that you screwed most of the parts. That makes replacing or modifying them in the future much easier.
