I installed one on my f150 and it works. It's crazy how little particles of oil add up in the catch can. That helps your engine not have to consume the oil and burnt it in the combustion chamber. In california they say it's illegal to install on a car that didnt come with it even though it's better for the environment

Good Job. Everyone saying you don't need one, obviously doesn't know how much oil dodges have in the intake.

I just bought an oil catch caniste4for my truck. I had to replace my iac about a year ago now and I've had to clean it twice since. Now my truck is up there in mileage. I bought the truck with many issues and I have worked most of em out. My thinking it I will help save the intake and the numerous components within the pcv path of operation. Less gunk and all that stuff the manufacturer likes to not tell you about. Thus will be my first oil canister install. So figures crossed it helps as much as I expect it too.

I've had mine since I had like 25k miles. Best little investment I made to my car, which is now at 93k. I have a 5.7, but my catch can definitely catches a ton of oil.

Make sure in the future you get one that’s baffled so it doesn’t kick back in your motor when you take a sharp turn

Installed one on my 2002 4Runner few years back. Bought it for around 25.00 bucks. Change the oil every 3 thousand miles and there’s less then ¼ inch of oil in the reservoir. 275, 000 miles and internals are real clean.

Good that you don't live in cold weather. Here in Winnipeg's winter, I have to empty the oil catch can weekly. The water condensate and freezes inside. In winter is 99% water and 1% oil at most...

My celica has one stock from factory to keep oil out the charge cooler. It has a tube in the bottom to automatically drain the captured oil back into the valve cover.

Telling by my guys heavy breathing it sounds like he was really debating weather or not to drink the oil

I looove mopar, no top end oiling perfence at idle which is where the hemi tick comes from plenums ALWAYS get a ton of oil build up. I pulled my plenum and completley cleaned it, and installed the catch can. Worked great. Also took the solonoids out for the eco mode so the lifters never collaped cutting out the 4 cylinders. Painted the block orange, kept it simple. Ran great after words. When i built my new block during covid i had the engine builder drill drain back holes from the cam like he insisted and never got the hemi tick after that.

Own an m550i and this was one of the first preventative maintenance mods you should be doing. Together with intake walnut blasting

I empty mine every 600-800 miles in my 2021 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. I modified mine and added the stainless steel brillo cut to size in the top part. Was gonna use copper one but steel was available. It's the exact same one as the one in this footage except has a drain at the bottom. The O-ring tends to stretch if you keep emptying the can. I measure hiw much and with the Brillo pad in there it blocks majority of the condensate from the PCV system. Intake is spotless. By the way if you decide to add a stainless steel scrubber cut to size make sure you check for any loose strands

Great 4 hi rpm use to keep oil out of Cats, which shortens service life. Helps HP by preventing combustion contamination. Nasty stuff
