Nice install! In addition to filtering the air that is fed back to your intake, the catch cans acts as a relief to your PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system. Meaning that all of that oil, fuel, water mixture that slips past the piston rings ends up in the catch can instead of fouling inside the oil pan. Great for boosted applications with additional pressure inside the engine. Nice video!

There is one more port that comes off of the driver side (or left side) valve cover that connects to the intake tube as well.

I put a small filter on the PCV nipple and plug the plenum nipple. works on all VQ35DE. I run 550hp twin turbo built motor. You dont need a catch can. But, if you run the car in the cold, you will get oil condensate build up under the oil fill cap.

I've done this to my Prius 😅
Catches a lot more moisture than oil here in Indiana, especially in the winter.

i have a 4 cylinder with this bad boy because it turns out 26 years without cleaning that it builds up an extreme amount so after I cleaned it, I installed a catch can and it works like a charm

It's a v engine, theres 2 pcv's. You either need a breather or route the other side to your catch can somehow.
