I understand everything you said in this video. I have found that unless you are a travel nurse, lpn pay is not that great anymore. I make pretty decent working at the hospital but I don't want to do bedside anymore. Every job I have applied to have low balled when it comes to a job offer. And as much as I didn't want to, I have decided to bridge to RN. We'll see how it goes!

Get the BSN as an Army LPN working with the VA in California VA wants BSN and it’s all online, if you got the ADN.. that said for us LPN in California you can not own your own bills and go full time.. if you have family or spouse that supports then you can. I’m still waiting to do my job full time and have an option for online that is not 622.00 a unit like Nightingale.. get your pre reqs done.

Just curious, where do you work now? I’m new to this channel.

Chris I need some advice, I love my job as a medication technician but I have to move over an hour away and i live in the smack center of all the lake effect snow of upstate ny, I feel that’s just too far away with how good I am and how I know I can excel in any environment, so I am looking to change to a pharmacy tech because it seems like medication technician jobs in assisted living facilities near me are few and far between, I’m rambling at this point but I’m really confused on what I should do at this point in my career in healthcare

Did you mention you were going back for your RN? If so, that's AWESOME! I was an LPN for 22 years before getting my RN degree. It's doable.

Hi Chris, I am 47 and looking to start a career in the medical field perhaps. I am looking at all the avenues that I might be able to accomplish. I am looking at medical assistant, medical admin asst, LPN, ADN nothing that takes more than 2 years though due to my age. I plan to start right after I turn 48. I do not personally know anyone who has these jobs. Would you mind sharing your insights, per my age, due to the advancement not really being there or the time to be gaining much and I do not care about moving up in which ever path I follow (age) Thanks!
