Finally someone said truth instead of power of love

The only reason why Harry didn't die is because at that time he is the master of elder wand, invisibility cloak and resurrection stone which makes him the master of death ☠️

1. Elder Wand did not count, Harry was willing to die, so killing him was actually the master's bidding.
2. Being a Horcrux didn't count, if Harry died by anyone else's hands or simply by being hit by a train, both Harry and the Horcrux would have perished.

The only reason is the second one, Harry's blood with Lily's protection inside Voldemort tethered him to Earth -- or to be more precise, gave him the choice to return. That is why Dumbledore insisted to Snape that Voldemort must be the one to kill Harry. If anyone else killed Harry, Horcrux would be still destroyed, but Harry wouldn't have a chance to come back.

It's explained in the books. The blood did not strengthen the protection, it was your third point: He killed the horcrux in Harry, which is why he died after getting beat by harry after harry leaves dumbledore.

He was a horcrux also plus the spell that lily cast was still on him I think I’d have to go look
