- Pushy "demand" barking during training 📣
- Barking when someone comes to the door or at things outside 🚪
- Barking while having alone time or in the crate 🐾
- Discover how to address the underlying reasons for your dog's barking, instead of just suppressing the symptom.
- We'll discuss the importance of exercise to manage excess energy, adjusting training methods, avoiding accidentally rewarding barking behavior, and understanding the reasons behind your dog's barking.

Our dog always barks at us when we try to watch tv so I tried the same tactic Zak uses when she's in the crate & he's talking to the camera. We turned on a show that we've seen before so it wasn't really one that we needed to hear & I kept the treats on the couch next to me where our dog couldn't get them. We started "watching" the show & every time he stopped barking, I quickly looked at him, said "yes, shhhh, quiet" and tossed him a treat. By the end of the 30 min episode he was laying quietly & not barking at all. We've continued practicing "shhhh, quiet" in other scenarios where he starts barking at us & he's doing great with almost no barking now. When he does start barking, he responds very well to our command for quiet & we're much less stressed, lol. Thanks for all the great videos, Zak! ^_^

I joined to learn how to train my dog, the most important thing i learned is, it's very hard to do that when you don't have a dog.

I have a Boxer Mix who is high energy. I got him at 8 weeks and I had no idea how challenging he would be. I actually thought about giving him up more than once but I knew I couldn't do that and live with myself. So I pushed on through and with the help of training videos like yours I think he has turned out to be an amazing dog and much loved member of my family. He is now almost 2 years old and he is awesome. He has made me a better person and I can't imagine life without him. Thank you for all you do to make us better dog parents.

From my experience, energetic and "naughty" dogs tend to be really smart. They love learning new things.

I've joined the dog training revolution because I find positive reinforcement much more effective than positive punishment based training. I love these videos because they are so helpful and I relish at the fact that this revolution is only getting stronger and bigger.

Finally! A dog trainer that shows dogs acting normally! I love that he has dogs who are learning the process, not the perfect "this is how a trained dog looks" video!

The top thing I’ve learned it how QUICKLY you’re meant to reward the behaviour you want, giving little to no time for failure. Growing up it was always to wait and see if they genuinely understood, but with my new puppy I’ve been rewarding the behaviours I want to see as quickly as I can and I’m seeing amazing outcomes! She’s confused by the reward at first but catches on very quickly as to why she’s being rewarded.

The most valuable thing I've learned from watching some of your videos is to do training walks as separate events from exercise walks, and to work incrementally. I appreciate that your videos work with dogs that are not yet perfect.

By watching your videos I have learned that you have to be patient with your dogs because getting frustrated or mad could possibly make things worse and even break your bond with your amazing puppy/dog.
