So my husband taught out dog to get tv remote and his plate etc., now he brings those things to us even when we don't ask for those, expecting treats :D

I loooove seeing that moment when they put all the steps together and fully understand what you want. It makes me feel so proud of them like they just aced a math test :)

I can’t see why people would dislike this. They see “How to teach your dog to bring you things”, unlike other tutorials he actually explains it. It works. They got what the wanted. Thank you for this :D

I really like how “real world” your teaching is! I like that you said, “it could take dozens to hundreds of attempts.”😆

This helps me so much, I'm 12 and I have a 3 year old HYPER dog, shes a rescue mix and the most dog breed she is is an Australian cattle dog. I can never make her tired. So this helps me alot.

Btw this video is awesome. I love your emphasis on small steps and patience. I think that is the biggest obstacle new trainers face is realizing how much time and patience is required.

Piper is such a good girl!

I've been scattering the basics of "get it" every once in a while. However, like her, I don't _know_ how to do it. Train her, that is. This helped immensely! I'll be sure to get her a rougher tug toy tomorrow (She's a pretty heavy chewer) that's only for training so it's special.

As someone who's trying to train my dog to help me with certain things (my being in a manual wheelchair), the small steps on how to get to the final result was always hard for me to figure out. This video is 5 years old and the steps still work!

I have an almost 2 year old border collie/australian cattle dog/husky mix pup. Super hyper, super smart, and gets fixated on one thing at a time and goes full force lol. I started with a shirt and he got it pretty well within 5 minutes. After about 10 minutes and 10 minute walkabout outside, I decided to try it with my shoe. He got it IMMEDIATELY! No whipping my shoe around like I fully expected him to do. He went, picked it up, brought it to me and dropped it in my hand! I immediately rewarded him with his rope (which he's never allowed to have cause he just rips it apart and eats the strands lol). I'm totally impressed. Thank you for this easy-to-follow video!

Loved this! I like that we saw her struggle and forget, and Zak going back in to help. Really simulates real training!

I love this! I am a firm believer in 100% positive training. No fear, pain or intimidation to teach behaviors. So far this is the first of your videos I've seen. I love your techniques so far! And Piper is awesome!
