Dagny "Nex" Benedict was a sophomore in Oklahoma who died on February 8th, one day after getting in a physical fight with a few girls from her school.This person identified as "non-binary" and used they/them pronouns.
The narrative was that this was clearly an unprovoked act of violence against an LGBTQIA student, and that people who fight policies that allow boys to share a bathroom with the girls, or don't allow minors to mutilate their bodies are to blame. Oklahoma city council member, Sean Cummings, even went so far as to blast Chaya Raichik of Libs of TikTok for this teens death.
However, we now have public police bodycam footage from the officer who spoke with the teen just hours after the incident happened during her visit to the hospital. And the video of that interaction tells a very, very different story than the tale that the dishonest media has been spreading.
