Electromagnetic Field Simulation

This is a simulation of a discreet version of the electromagnetic field. In this the player is a charge, and we are seeing the field generated by its motion.

What you're seeing is actually the dual electromagnetic field. The arrows are part of the vector field H, and the spirals are part of the bivector field D, which will be familiar if you've studied electromagnetism in materials.

I'm using antiperiodic boundary conditions, ie F(x + N) = - F(x). I've only rendered one fundamental domain of the field, but it extends infinitely in all directions, antiperiodically.

I created this partly for my research project in discrete exterior calculus, and partly because I think there may be potential to create a fun game out of this.
