An introduction to a PhET simulation on electric charges and electric fields. The simulation can be used for qualitative and quantitative exploration of the electric fields and electric potential produced by a distribution of charges in 2D.

voltage=amount of energy per unit charge, adding increase charge and voltage
value of magmitude felectric field as length, going away from positive to negative

euipotential=voltage value, same around the circle

negative negative voltage
negative valleys or holes
positive are mountain tops

How do you get to 0 V with positive negative charge
