Parliament Session: In her response to the Opposition LoP Mallikarjun Kharge's accusations that the Budget had nothing for West Bengal & other states, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, July 24 took potshots at Kharge and West Bengal govt. "The TMC leaders questioned the Budget 2024 yesterday. Let me highlight the fact that the several schemes given by the Prime Minister in the last ten years have not even been implemented in West Bengal and you have the audacity to ask me now," said Nirmala Sitharaman. This triggered the leaders from the TMC to condemn Nirmala Sitharaman's remarks. "This is wrong. FM is having a monologue. This is Injustice to Bengal. The Finance Minister is insulting Bengal," said TMC leaders.
