Pastor David Wilkerson was one of the soundest and most passionate men of God I have ever seen. While many of his contemporaries embraced the “prosperity gospel” & “word of faith” messages, Pastor Wilkerson steered clear of wonky gospels and just preached the sound, infallible, Word of God. His faith and love of the Trinity and his wanting people to find God was always evident.

He was comfortable in his life in Texas, but followed God's instruction to move to New York and preach the gospel in 1986 {NY was not a nice place in 1986, as crack & murder had taken ahold of the city}. He founded and became the pastor of Times Square Church, which opened its doors in October 1987. His book “The Cross & the Switchblade” in 1962 was way ahead of its time and extremely prophetic. He authored another extremely prophetic book named “The Vision”, and both books contain prophecies that we are living through right now.

He was called home by YHWH on April 27th, 2011. Although he will be severely missed, because of video & audio, he still lives in our hearts and can still help to shape our lives.
