It depends on the individual's circumstances. I remember a while back I was absolutely frustrated why I couldn't walk for God without getting exhausted. Every day was a battle until God answered my thoughts and gave me a dream. In the dream, I was standing on the earth and Satan was hovering in the air. Whenever I tried to fly into the sky to meet God in the heavens Satan would intercept me and we engaged in a heated battle but in the middle of the fight, I became exhausted and couldn't maintain the intensity of the fight then the devil knocked me back down to the ground. This happened a total of 3 times in the dream but on the last time, Satan saw I was fighting back harder and he summoned a terrible storm that blocked out the heavens. My heart sunk in disbelief and out of desperation I said "There is no hope" then suddenly God threw down a powerful sword to the earth, an unearthly looking weapon the devil could not stand against. When Satan saw God was helping me he swelled with rage and then went out to gather the authorities of the world against me, afterward, I awoke from the dream.

This makes a lot of sense. It's happened to me and I am still wanting to go back to Christ.

I think it's a priority thing. We need to ask ourselves: do we love the sin more or God more? Find the answer and work on taking one "bad thing" out of your life one at a time. Talk to a Christian counselor, have a friend/spouse hold you accountable on whatever your struggling with. Or challenge yourself! (Dedicate an hour a day to a devotional, listen to nothing but spiritually uplifting music for 30 days, etc)

I keep on committing repetitive sins and I want to stop. I want to live a better life. I miss the relationship I had with God but I don't feel anything anymore and it almost feels hopeless even trying .

It is amazing backsliding can be cured by the Lord. I wish I'd known that when I was first saved because people gave the impression back sliding was an affliction not a choice.

I BACKSLID I was such a zealous Christian saved born again miracles and everything I LOST fellowship and work took over pray for me I just repented and I felt the Holy Spirit heal me

Living totally in sin offends GOD - Hell bound

Living as a Hypocrite offends GOD even "more" (Half Christian/Half Sinner)- Hell bound

But he's glad to watch the worst sinner "seriously" running back to him as a prodigal Son in full surrender, he gladly welcomes (Luke 15:11-32) 🙏🏼

OR if the worst sinner is unable to go back coz they're stuck in mud,

He's happy to hear the voice of his sheep stuck somewhere calling to be saved, he'll come and save you and make whole (Luke 15:3-7) 🙏🏼 (Just call out to him/pray, believe and just wait)

I was a backslidden Christian but I’ve come back. I remember before I backslid I used to be on absolute fire for God but now it’s like I’ve lost my passion and I feel like giving up at the the same time I don’t want to I’m I’m confused.

i want to be with the lord but i am scared that he has left me. I prey everyday for any sins i committed but i feel that he has let go of me.

I already back slide almost every year I don't know why and i return feeling good after 2 to 3 months back to sinful lifestyle again.

The cure from what I know is get into the Word. Be renewed in your mind (Ephesians 4:23), hearken diligently unto God (Isaiah 55:2) and believe God's Word (1st Thessalonians 2:13) All KJV.

Let this word be an encouragement to you. Revelation 22:17 says "whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely". Not whosoever feels. God's Word will not fail or be void.

I really want to come back but my flesh and possibly (proabably) satan is pulling me away my heart is not soft to the holy spirit anymore how can I move forward and come back to Christ ?
