I gave CPR to a bird many years ago. It fell into a water bucket and was floating motionless in the water. I took it out, held it upside down by its legs and gently squeezed (as in CPR) it's "chest". Water poured out. After a few minutes the bird revived and after another few minutes it flew away. I often wondered if the little guy survived or maybe got pneumonia and died. Whatever happened it was a very long time ago.

I currently work in a mosquito research lab in the department of UF Entomology. Mosquitos are attracted to the carbon dioxide in our breath. Interestingly, mosquitos are attracted to those with a higher metabolic rate (which explains why some people are basically mosquito magnets). Carbon dioxide is also a popular choice for various mosquito control devices and many use dry ice for this reason!

Related to the upside down roller coaster: When I was nine, I rode one of these with my two older sisters at the fairgrounds and it stopped like this for five minutes or so. We were all freaked out, but it became really scary when me and my sisters realized that my seat belt was not tight enough across my body so I began slipping. They struggled to hold me up and the entirety of everyone on the ride were screaming for the operator to bring the roller coaster carts down because I was in danger of falling to my death. The operator had stepped out and was nowhere to be seen for that five minutes. Eventually the ride was brought down and everyone got off. I remember so disoriented and scared my sisters brought me back to my parents. I don't remember what happened after that, but I kind of hope that the operator was fired.

Johnny Cakes is an incredible cake decorator/designer. They look so realistic. He also does videos with the Try Guys now from time to time. I just adore him! He’s so talented, hilarious, relatable and genuinely kind. It’s was nice to see him in this video too.

Dr. Mike you’d be so proud, I went on a cruise and they were trying to sell me a detox and they asked “have you ever detoxed?” I said “every day! My liver and kidneys are fully functional!” 😁

"THE BREAD COMES OUT OF THE GROUND" had me laughing so hard.

I don’t want to hear anyone crying about things being “not natural” unless they live outside and poop on the ground cause toilets and houses aren’t natural either but I don’t hear them griping about that.

I am not a mosquito-ologist, but I can tell you that when my family went on holiday to Malta a couple of months after my mum finished chemotherapy, she was the only one in our party who didn't get ravaged by mosquitoes. I had bites EVERYWHERE and she was happily lounging beside the pool unbothered. (Oh and she's 10 years cancer free! ❤️)

"it is clinically proven" into "i need testers" is absolutely priceless and if you cannot find this fallacy yourself then you might have more problems than you think

The washed fruit water being the same colour as the apple cider vinegar had me in stitches.

Your editor is amazing, really accentuates your reactions on a higher comical level. Thanks for the continuing medical education and laughs :)

The difficulty it took to be diagnosed with hEDS is honestly depressing. And I feel like I wouldn't be so bad off now if I had someone who would have listened to me earlier

I dont study mosquitoes, but Ive heard that mosquitoes prefer type O blood. I personally think it's true because I am type O and I always get more bites than anyone.

Not only was the water the color of the vinegar, but you can see how the strawberries shrunk and turned white in the bowl. They literally just destroyed most of the stuff in the fruit and left it as a white husk of dead plant cells

people who study mosquitos (Culicidology) say: they like when you have a strong smell (like BO smells and breath cuz of CO2), but blood type preference in various populations does appear to exist. If you're being targeted you're either expelling more of what they like to hunt us with (ie: you're breathing faster or something), or they like your blood type better than your friends'.

Dr Mike is one of the only doctors online I’ve ever seen that makes content that addresses EDS so casually and well 😭💕💕💕 it’s so nice to see someone educated on it you have no idea how many doctors I’ve seen that go “what?” When I tell them I have it LMFAOOO
