Thanks for sharing. I don’t think most people understand how important it is to find the right oncologist. They just assume that their oncologist knows what’s best for them. Best wishes for healing! I’m sure sharing your story on different platforms has already saved lives! Bless you!

I went to the e/r with a gallbladder attack, to be told at the end of all the testing (chest xray was clear), that after a chest CT, I had stage 1 lung cancer. I was floored---I can't imagine the horror of being told it was stage 4! After surgery to remove part of my R lung, I am cancer free 7 yrs later. I pray for continued healing for Lindsay, she has a wonderful attitude and spirit. God Bless You.

I had colon cancer in 2007, then endometrial cancer in 2022 and came back again this April 2024. Right now going through chemo and immunotherapy. I’m so sick I already asked God to take me. I guess he wants me here for a reason. Everyone fighting this terrible desease, is on my prayers. We’re in the hands of God and excellent team of drs. My oncologist is awesome. We’re warriors. I wish the best for you!

My mother got lung cancer at age 57. She had tried one cigarette in her entire life, when she was in her 20s. She was a nurse, VERY active. Her first symptoms were a constant cough (she couldn’t even speak over the phone for the coughing, it was that severe - she couldn’t go 3 seconds without coughing which obviously meant she had zero sleep for weeks). She also lost a dramatic amount of weight - around 3 stone in 3 weeks. By the time she was diagnosed (delayed because, like this lady - her GP thought it was a bad chest infection), it was terminal - in both lungs and the liver. I am glad this lady is doing good - we didn’t have the same treatments back then (my mother died two weeks after diagnosis, which is what the doctors told this lady she had to live - it’s great to see her well!)

I am 62 years old, smoked for 30 years, I had some blood work done recently that showed an elevated level that could be indicative for lung cancer, i saw an oncologist and had full body scan, luckily i was cancer free, my lung scans were normal . I am not by any means advocating for smoking but I noticed that everyone immediately thinks that smoking is the main cause of lung cancer and it's not, filling up your car with gas, read the signs on the pump, alcohol consumption is a major factor for developing cancer, poor diet.... So many contributing factors. Glad you were able to beat the cancer.

Not at ALL to make light of the situation here but as a reason to smile besides the strength of this lady can I call attention to how adorable it was that her daughter could be seen on the left trying to walk out of the hallway and then trying to be invisible and backing up out of view? That made me smile outside of the energy of the brave fighter we're hearing from. She's here today, and I hope she's still around and smiling when the stars burn out.

I say this because I am in need of something to smile about, given that my mother is stage 4 in both lungs as we speak.

Amen! Praise God! So happy that you're doing well and telling your story. I was diagnosed with 3b triple negative breast cancer. It's one of the most aggressive type of breast cancer. I had chemo, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy and now I'm been cancer free for years. It was a hard and difficult journey. I prayed and stayed positive and kept the faith. God got me through it all. And I thank God and his beautiful blessing. I'm praying now for anyone going through this. May God bless you all. 🙏🙏❤️
