What is one of the most significant obstacles to sharing the Gospel? Is it the fear of being wrong? Is it the fear of getting into an argument? Is it the fear of looking stupid? While those are often realities in the life of the hopeful evangelist, Fr. Mike argues that the most significant obstacle to sharing the Gospel is the fact that one is not merely called to share the Gospel, but to share their very life, too. The fear of being transparent, the fear of being generous and the fear of integrity all play a part here. After all, it takes authenticity to have authentic friendships. And this is one of the great deficiencies of our time.

This made complete sense to me. I didn’t meet my best friend until 1992. When the Lord whom had been watching over me and waking with me since 1971 brought HiM into my life.. I’ve had people who had acted like my friend only to leave, they had a agenda and it didn’t include me..

I think the expression of the most virtuous friendship in the Bible would have to be that of Jesus and Mary of Magdalene. How powerful and wonderful to have two people of opposite sex. I knew a man who I really want to be. I look at him like an older brother although I'm older than him, his love for Christ and for others is so attracting. I would absolutely love to be good friends with them and build each other up. I just wish I could talk to him.

Today I will do a presentation to a church group (all catholic) and the main issue with them, it’s the friendship, the how they can work together to Jesus without killing themself. The point to find the virtuousity of the other person, it’s better than find the common points of view. The example of David and Jhonatan was excellent !!
