In today's episode, we bring you to, in our opinion, one of the coolest places on Earth🌍 We've been to the Dead Sea once before in 2018 on the other side in Jordan, and we were so excited to revisit this super salty lake on the other side. We also got to do some epic hiking around the area, so don't miss that!

Thank you guys for watching🥳❤️

This was super cool! The only way you can get me up at 4 AM is if I have a flight but I’m so glad you got up and did that because I got to see that amazing photography!❤️👍✈️

I cut my thumb on that railing in the beginning of the video, but my hand was in the water. The second I pulled it out of the water, it was already healed. The miracle waters of the Dead Sea!

Congratulations guys, I follow your videos and from all of them, this is the one I really enjoy. Visiting Massada must be something great. And the views are incredible. Thank you very much for sharing your trips with us.

Great scoping the Dead Sea. Amazing seeing all those cool streams and waterfalls in the hills above it- and what a view of it from the Masada Fortress! I hope you get the chance to see the Sea of Galilee (which is the freshwater source of the River Jordan at 700 feet(213 meters) Below Sea level) and the River Jordan itself (which empties into the Dead Sea at 1412 feet (430 meters) Below Sea Level . That makes the Jordan the only major river in the world with its course ENTIRELY below sea level!

Thank you so much once again dear Oskar and Dan for sharing your most incredible adventures. I can't get over how dry it all is and then suddenly water. The Dead Sea looks absolutely bizarre. It must be so refreshing. I think I prefer the beautiful water holes and waterfalls. The rock formations look out of this world. I think I would have been in ice-cream heaven with all those flavours. The food looked amazing too. I bet it was tasty and spicy. Masada I have read about with the incredible sacrifices there against the Romans. What people have endured is unimaginable. I'm so glad you both got away from the tensions of Jerusalem. You two are so incredibly generous sharing your lives with so much. You both deeply touch my heart with all your kindness and generosity. That's something very special guys. I wish you both only happy days, David

Fun fact: those squares on the desert floor that you see from the top of Masada are the ruins of the Roman encampments that they used to lay siege against the Jews taking refuge in Masada after the destruction of the Holy Jewish Temple (73-74 AD). The Roman’s actually built the ancient worlds largest siege engine in order to destroy the impregnable fortress. Instead of being captured alive and sold into Roman slavery or executed the Jews committed mass suicide rather than fall captive.

Dear Oskar & Dan, can you please make a playlist titled “start to finish” with all your travel vids in order. It’ll make it so much easier to binge your videos! Or if someone knows how to watch their vids without having to click on each one please let me know :)
all love to you guys! You gave me courage to visit Brazil this past May!

Loving your adventure ms in Israel. It took me back to when I went back packing around Israel in 1984. We stayed in little huts and there was definitely no malls or big hotels back then. We hiked to Masada. It was an amazing experience. Wish we’d seen the sunrise. Got to say I didn’t like floating in the Dead Sea. It hurt!

"Hey, I am the view!" Yes, you are, Dan. So is Oskar. Beautiful episode, one of my faves. But all that hiking in that kind of heat! (I lived in a desert for six years, where 122° F was normal.) Be careful. We're all waiting for you to get to 100 countries by December (or sooner). And say hello next time you're in NYC!

There is another way up on the other side. It also has to be hiked but it only takes about 20 minutes. It's the ramp the Romans built in order to reach the rebels camping out on top of Masada.
