Whenever I went to Italy (5 times overall), I've avoided their street food and went to the restaurants, which was so much better. To be honest, Milan was the worst place I went to as there were much better places to see and do with better cuisine, especially the southern parts of Italy. But I do love Foccacia though

Italian food culture is different. It's more about fine dining, Napoleon Pizza, Fresh Gelato, Sea Food, Tiramisu, Dozens of dishes based on Pasta, and Spaghetti. You need to know places to get the best one of these. Once your taste buds adjust to Italian signature Napoleon Pizza, you won't enjoy Cheese Bread called as Pizza in the UK. Italian food is simply Amazing.
