i used the lifetime for 5 years and it made me hate kayaking. It's so cramped. Your best bet on a budget is facebook market place and craigs list. I got a never put in the water Bonafide ss127 for $800 fully loaded last years. There are still really good deals on the used market.

Get a kayak that comes with a good seat, or get a stadium seat and some scupper plugs. the Tamerak makes your but go numb and has scupper holes right under your butt
