An international team? I don’t know where you get your info from but it was an ex-military man who worked with codes back in the day who broke the case of the cipher. He saw it and said that it was almost exactly like one they used to use. That is how it was broken and not by some team working on it. The major fact about this discovery is how the zodiac knew about military ciphers and used one... this suggested that the zodiac once was not only a military man but also worked with ciphers before the killings. Using this information as well as the data of the hight and description of the suspect one could narrow down the pool of possible zodiac killers based on the records. If there is any progress beyond this as of yet is still not known but FOIA requests and the available data could provide even amateur investigators with enough data to make some educated guesses. I wonder if anyone is still actually looking with all that has been going on in the United States right now.
