I think the telling was on the right track with the first story. I believe the underground area was previously accessed and occupied by a homeless person who had since moved on or otherwise, Maintenance staff found the broken lock, did a cursory check, and replaced the busted lock, the explorers found their way in and took photos in a place not checked by maintenance staff. our explorer later returned and removed some items to pad out/ add credibility to their story.

Looks like the nz town you're talking about is Marton. The curfew is actually the covid lockdowns we have been having. There's nothing strange about the place lmao it's just a small town. The subreddit is full if trolls, our humor is a bit different here so that's why you probably took those posts seriously

To all the kiwi's and non kiwi's in the comment section looking for answers; the town is called Marton and unfortunately it is not a hotbed for paranormal activity. Just the usual country town with abandoned buildings and a small community. Probably some silly bugger trolls having a laugh.

I don’t live too far from Marton; definitely an eerie place with more than a few abandoned buildings, but it’s just a super normal rural township haha. Haven’t heard too much about the paranormal activity myself, but pretty certain the sub just got hijacked by a few then it snowballed into an urban legend (though would love to hear any ghost stories etc though, feels like we have so few in NZ so they always excite me a little lol). I find a lot of YouTubers who cover the sub too haven’t really been in the sub at all and just go off internet legends, bc there’s never any screenshots and the sub is defs not as deranged as YouTubers make it seem lol.

2:10 So, I was already iffy on the whole idea of climbing down into that hole but once I heard that at one point it gets so narrow you have to crawl on your stomach, I almost felt sick. I have a vivid imagination and imagining a scenario like that, to me, is pretty close to hell on earth with my primary fear being rooted in the thought that I might get stuck with no way to get unstuck and my secondary fear being of the unknown dark. Like, the dark of my house at night is not so bad but dark hallways or tunnels or passageways that I’m unfamiliar with? Forget about it!

The narrative about the town plagued by paranormal activity was interesting until it became a little disturbing to me. The mention of paranormal entities making themselves appear to be familiar people was striking. Over the past five years or so, I've had dreams, but never actual experiences, in which I was being talked to, pushed, or otherwise made aware of something like a ghost. Often, I had a vague feeling that I knew what or who it was. The interaction always at first interests me because I'm really experiencing a ghost, but then it gets more frightful until I wake up. Three nights ago, I had one of those dreams. This time, though, it was different: a voice was almost yelling at me, and it was lifting objects, including me. The voice was my own, which was, as usual, interesting and cool at first, but then became scary to the point that I screamed my way out of my sleep. So, what does that have to do with your video story? Now, I know that the voice in my dream wasn't mine, but it made me believe that it was. Something with that particular power is a special kind of horror. I am, of course, hopeful that the dream veil is inviolable. The waking world can be bad enough without that kind of menace finding a way through from the other side.

I live in a small town of like 50k, and when I was a youngun me and my friends went under a bridge, wr found it almost exactly like your story. I mean magazine, matress, grafitti, panties, etc.

I would imagine that in any given city - you can find something exactly like this under a bridge!¡!
