There's no faking the Air Force PT Test. I give them that. They ride a stationary bike at a set pace and heart rate and breathing are monitored. Their aerobic conditioning has to be legit, by comparison, an out of shape soldier or Marine can summon pure grit and run two or three miles respectively and pass a PT test.

I never served so i wouldn't personally know, but I've never seen a video of an Air Force guy looking like a football player on the verge of death with that snot string hanging down to the ground on a run with a 100 lbs pack on with someone screaming in his face talking about "GET BACK UP"! But I've seen plenty of those videos from Marines.
