So glad you enjoyed Nepalese food! There are a lot of Nepalese immigrants in the UK/ quite a few Nepalese restaurants here because the British Army has a specific regiment called the Gurkhas in which they recruit people from Nepal. The ingredients used in momo (the dumpling you had in the beginning) could include ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander etc etc and these ingredients are the basis of a lot of dishes!

Napalese dumplings also known as momo.
And the Sadha kaja is simple rice, lentils, chicken or mutton, some mixed veggies and pickle n chutni are just satisfying food.

Nepalese food is amazing. If you ever come to Wales, you have to go to the foodie town of Abergavenny. It has the best afternoon tea - the Angel Hotel. Plus the best Nepalese - The Gurkha Corner.

I remember visiting Pokhara in 2018 and I fell in love with Nepal and its food. After the pandemic, I am going to do a tour of Nepal minus Mount Everest because I really want to immerse myself with the culture there.

Oh my god yes! I am Nepalese live in UK and I've had Nepalese food all over southern UK but Bath was the most authentic. I was so fulfilled when I ate in this restaurant Yak Yeti Yak. I'm so glad you tried our food.

so glad you tried nepalese food ....we have a wide variety of cuisines i belong to the newar community in nepal so newari cuisine is what i grew up with and let me tell you there are just so many good food to try from simple breakfasts to mind blowing desserts.

Guys, just a point to make, quite a few India people seem to open Nepali restaurants. Nothing wrong with that of course, everyone is free to do what they want. But might be something to keep in mind if you're intention was to try authentic Nepali food and support Nepali restaurants.
