Norwegian here; it was in our country that they recently updated the law to enforce use of cash. Most transactions here are certainly electronic, but there is a systemic risk to going cashless that the government is afraid of. In an emergency it might not be available to be electronic. That and that the role of the central bank and its "legal tender" law shouldn't be ignored as cash has been illegally denied a number of places.

Here in England it is wise only to buy royal mint coins such as the Brittanias and Sovereigns as they are capital gains tax free. Were US and Australian and European coins face a 24% tax rate on gain's on your coins. Plus never accept the digital slavery of a CBDC.
