I am proud to be an Army Brat. My father, Col. Tommy Baucum, served our country for over 30 years. I very rarely saw him with tears in his eyes, but that is what I witnessed when we visited Arlington National Cemetery, perhaps the most solemn place I have ever been. The cemetery is sacred ground for hundreds of thousands of American families, including mine.

Donald Trump has no right to use our most hallowed ground for his political aims. It was disgraceful, nauseating and repugnant. Someone who would do that should never be Commander in Chief.

As an Arizona native I’ve not always aligned with Senator MCain policy or politics, that’s true enough.
But I never for a moment doubted that John MCain how much this hero loved his country, what he sacrificed and the price he paid.

Five generations of my family have served with honor. Trump's disdain for service members who gave their lives is contemptuous, especially coming from someone who chose not to serve. If his intentions were purely selfless there would be no need for a camera crew. 🇺🇸
