Science and Engineering Day 2022 | University of Southampton

Science and Engineering Day is the renown family-friendly fun-filled flagship event of Southampton Science and Engineering Festival (SOTSEF), which runs every year to coincide with British Science Week.

The Festival allows everyone to explore and discover what the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) has to offer.

The Festival is organised by the Public Engagement with Research unit at the University of Southampton.

In May 2022, 2,000 visitors from the Midlands and the South of the UK attended Science and Engineering Day after a 2-year long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 650 people volunteered during the day, including students, academics and staff, to bring to life interactive stands, laboratory tours, workshops, live shows and performances accessible to everyone.
