I picked up a 4 year old Bentayga for £120k - 10k on clock purchase price £215k new W12 all options
I just could not pay £125k for a new Rang Rover the build quality has dropped over the years having had 4 and they are just so commonplace now, whilst I would not spend £200k plus on a new SUV, as a second-hand vehicle with such quality and refinement the 2016 model year W12 with city pack touring pack Mulliner interior rear entertainment option etc etc – it’s a wise choice.
Some try to review the Range Rover or Audi Q7 to a Bentley, that’s like saying the pope is just a priest or Louis Roederer Cristal is merely a champagne. the Bentley is the epitome of quality and drives in a different league to the others.

I love my 2016 first edition, it came fully loaded and cost first owner over 200k. I paid half that after 3 years. It is the best car/suv I have ever owned yes a Macan GTS will go around bends quicker but the W12 pulls better than my Cayenne Turbo S. the build quality and attention to detail are superb and although my Range Rover Autobiography was well appointed it just lacked the essence of the Bentley. But someone has to buy the new one in order for the likes of myself to benefit when they become a used option (I won’t say bargain as they are not reasonable to buy secondhand and as for servicing, tyres and insurance well that’s another story). Sadly the new back end looks like its been lifted of the Audi Q7

Yes, I prefer the old one too. Although I prefer the rear of the new one with those nice lights. But the hood of the old one follows the traditional curvy shape, stopped by the fender, of the original Continental which has more personality than the new one. I however, prefer the front of the hood on the new one since it goes all the way to the grille (very unfortunately in plastic I guess...) It should be noted that the new one is still available with the W12, but this is the top of the line so depreciation is maximum, even more compared to a used old version. Analog cluster is way better than a digital one in my opinion, like a mechanical watch is more respectable than a quartz watch....

The old one for me ...the rear ...square back ...square (90degree) windows...square boot lid ....so you need the square taillights to fit in 😅

Obviously the new Truck the rear changes jumped out at me but until this review I didn’t notice all the sheet metal in front was changed also

Well I drive the W12 continental gtc, so sorry, but I'm going old school. Basically because I have my eye on one, to go with my continental gtc. They'll look lush together!! 😊
