Many of the sales acts were abrogated and superseded by the Consumer Rights 2015, which came in force in October 2015.

Great Overview video on CONSUMER RIGHTS legislation.  However EU directive has updated UK law (see Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) and the Acts mentioned in this video have been replaced by CRA2015 & CCR2013.  But the video is still better than good because you can see how the updated (newer) UK legislation bring together the previous (older) UK legislation ...amazing actually how much EU has reused.  Many thx - this video is still a keeper for the wider view such as Consumer Protection for Safety issues.

Very useful content. Well presented. What is missing is the dates of the Acts.

So if I was to buy a product like a drill, kettle or what ever.. should the item fail not due to damage by user, can the item be returned for repair or replacement within four years if I don't have a receipt?

I have a question: how can consumer rights act be applied to online dating? does it usually involve the potential unfair terms of a business in their T&I? what would be your opinion about the potential problems the consumer faces with regards to online dating services and how can consumer law be used to gain compensation?

I am going through a problem. I have payed £400 for a skin treatment. I gave this amount beforehand. After 5 days I informed that because of my health problem I could not have that skin treatment done. She already knew that I had health problem and incentivated to do it anyway.. The steticist said that she would reimburse me the full amount in 30 days. The 30 days passed and she said she doesnt have money and she needs more days to pay me. She said that she was being nice returning the money, cause I have no right to receive the money back. What do I do in this situation? Tks
