Excel Copy / Paste Error: This Action Won't Work on Multiple Selections + Excel Won't Paste Formulas

In this video I look at a couple of copy / paste problems that you might come across when you try to copy multiple ranges.

The first problem is where you get the error message "This action won't work on multiple selections". This error occurs when your second (or third etc) selection is not in the same rows or columns as you first selection. You also get this error when the second selection is not the same size as the first.

The second problem occurs when your copy range contains formulas. By default, when you copy multiple ranges, Excel pastes values instead of formulas. You can get around this by using Paste special.

Thank you for your nice tip! I selected a one column to past into another column but this error massage appears. Do you know why?

What I'm having trouble with is if you click a cell lets say you have a cell that says $10.00 in A1 and you want to move it to B1 you click the corner of A1 and it turns from the white cross to the thin black cross and it supposed to copy the same info to B1. For some reason suddenly its not allowing me to do that. The white cross won't change. I hope this makes sense.
