Ok so my question is. How can I do this from text outside excel.

Here is a recap. My job is to translate text from documents most of this documents are excel. And if the Exel file has bunch of rolls of differente text it take forever to go threw it box act it time so I copy the all the text on all the individual boxes into one than I translate that but when I go back and try to paste it over the boxes it says that error but won’t allow me to do it

I have a very specific problem. I want to copy the information of a cell into the formula bar but excel wont let me. I normally use it as a shortcut when using equations. Is this how excel just is or is something wrong with my settings. Ive been using google sheets since november last year and this never was a problem. an you shed any light on this?
