Rating Female Fantasy Armor

As a woman, I do not understand how the bad armor is in any way attractive. I didn’t realize “sexy” meant as uncomfortable as possible with a 100% chance of getting you killed.

After watching your videos i made some character designs with practical/nonsexualized armor

So that high shoulder piece is called a Haute Garde and is prevalent is pauldrons worn for tournament and heavy cavalry. Typically when they are asymmetrical like this it is the left arm that is larger but this example is totally a valid design choice to prevent blows from attacking the head.

One thing I have to remind myself of when watching your videos as a designer is not to try imitating 10/10 designs cuz as practical as they be, not all cultures(specially fantasy) get it right and sometimes characters themselves want to be more exposed out of arrogance or other means.
My comic I'm working on probably won't have any armor more than 7/10 for practicality and I believe that's ok

The 4th one have no problem with the shoulder if it is for jousting, since in jousting they use heavier shoulder in the lance arm, sometime totally removing arm up mobility

Youve got some amazing points but one thing I have always noticed. Despite how well armored 90% of the body, any flaw seems to neutralise anything good about it.
A boob window, whilst yes it is unprotected and dangerous should not diminish some sets of armour down to rankings of 1s and 2s.

That skirt is made of leather and heavy cloth. It would get on the way when running because its so heavy. 5/10 vital organs and arteries are protected

assuming the 3rd and 4th ones are the same person I’d think she might not be able to breath properly in the 4th one. Like it’s definitely still more practical that the 3rd but she would probably become out of breath easily since chest binding restricts how much air someone can take in.

The slightly big pauldron on the practical armor might be a bonus if it were on the other side. It is on the common sword side (the side you hold you sword) so most of your blocks will be coming from that side, and it looks like it's intended to stop sword strikes from hitting the neck by making the shoulder take the blow. If it were on the othe side, it would be on the side enemy knights would be having their strongest swings, and thus be the side where a neck hit would be devastating regardless of armor. Your neck is very vital, and the shoulders can take much more of a beating than it can, so let them take one for the team.
