Also the long skirt serves a practical purpose. It helps hide leg movement which can help throw off the enemy’s aim and protect the legs from getting slashed or stabbed.

I like the last one’s skirts because it looks like its a collection of things. She didnt need that red sash. But she liked it. So she added it. The little janggly bits? She didnt need it but she liked it and added it. The broach with the red? She liked it so she added it for decoration. THATS character design. Showing the personality of the character in the clothing choice. Shes a warrior who is also a bit of a magpie. She likes self-decoration and does it in a way that works with her armor. Her design looks lived-in and i love it.

I love soulsborne games because when you choose a female character the armour is always changed slightly to reflect that it's for a woman but is still close enough to the male counterpart to show that women and men need the same type of protection from swords and magic.
