Hey on my pioneer head unit anytime I attempt the update the firmware the screen goes blank. If i restart the vehicle everything works fine but no firmware update. I contacted pioneer and they suggested sending it for 60 bux to get it updated. Any help would be great.

I have the avh 2550 nex and am not a tech person. So, I understand your directions fine, but have 2 questions. 1. It has 2 update options for my car stereo dated the same, just different versions. How do I know which version is the one in my car. 2. The stereo is mounted inside my dash, so where would I find the USB plug?
