oh my goodness, your video just saved my dogs life. he got into a Christmas ham and had a chunk stuck in his throat. I obviously started to panic and smacking him on his back. He began to shake very badly and I could see him trying to cough but couldn't. I quickly Googled "small dog choking" watched a few seconds of the video and then held him upside down and shook him. a large corner of the ham came flying out.
thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!! He is a 10 pound Yorkiepoo named Yogi.

Used these techniques on my small dog this morning while she was choking on her breakfast. It was successful but took longer than people realize. Keep going and don't stop trying.

Just saved my baby girl today. She was choking on a bacon treat today and I managed to save her. She looked so scared, and usually runs away from me when she feels like I’m taking a treat away, but I think she knew what I was trying to do, and let me help her. 😭😭 thank you so much for your help!

I saw this video as soon as I got my pupper, which was about a year ago, just to be prepared. And today it happened, he ate his food too quickly without even chewing it and started to choke badly!! I panicked for a micro-second but quickly got to action and performed what I remembered from this video on my dog.
You guys literally saved my dog - and so many others as well.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this straightforward and informative video.
Cheers from Portugal! :)

Please realize that someone coming to watch this video might be doing so because their dog is literally choking to death, and every second counts (this video is the top recommendation from a search). So you might want to rethink playing a musical intro and a logo. But please don't take that the wrong way. Thank you so much for this video.

Thanks for making it a quick video so people can act fast when this happens, too many vids of how to do this that take 30 mins

Thank you for making this video I’m prepared now for whenever my lil boy starts to choke. Also it’s good that you kept this video short so people can immediately know what to do during emergencies

Excellent video! I watched this before and it just now came in handy as my 10 pound Pomeranian was choking on a Turkey tendon. I held her upside down gave he a gentle shake and it came right out. Watching this video and having the knowledge and calm demeanor (freaking out internally) just saved Izzy! You are an angel thank you❤

I’m glad I was able to watch this easily, but grateful that I haven’t (yet) needed to use it. My little chi “Aria” was coughing/hacking no more than 15 minutes ago; as she was eating her dinner as she usually does & I guess a tiny bit of it caught in her oesophagus. She was scared & tried to hide from us at first, but my mum & I coaxed her out to her bed (which sits just beside mine). I gently massaged Aria’s little throat & patted her on the back/ribcage, whilst my mum brought over her water dish for her to take a drink & all of these combined actions seemed to help. Once she’d stopped trying to clear her throat, my little chihuahua licked both our hands, so I knew she’d realised that we were doing it to help her. We followed up by letting her outside for some fresh air & then she was back to being the happy little chi we know & love so much. I’m very thankful that I found this video, as it’ll surely help if Aria ever chokes for real. I also wouldn’t mind learning how to give “mouth-to-snout” (for dogs who aren’t breathing), because you just never know when you’re going to need to use that knowledge. I don’t care if the thought of rescue-breaths on a dog sounds “gross” … I’d do whatever it takes to ensure my sweet girl is safe; even if it results in getting pooped or peed on. I love her so much & she’s the daughter I could never have, so of course I’ll always do whatever it takes to save Aria’s life. 🥹💖🐕

The time of the video is life saving. When an emergency such as a dog choking time is crucial and long videos might not come in handy. Thank you

My sister's dog, a little dachshund, died yesterday after choking on a piece of sausage. I have been hit fairly hard too, she was such a lovely dog. I have two chis myself, so making absolutely sure I know what to do. Wish both of us had known this before, It's something you never think you'll need - until you do.

Since my dog become pregnant i’ve notice she didn’t chew her food that much just swallowing it. Adding that she might afraid that our other dog might snatch her food. to her greediness, 2wks ago. My shih tsu choked. I tried the heimlich maneuver but it didn’t worked. Its already been 8minutes of struggling. while we were in the car going to vet, I decided i’ll try to get the food inside her as the final resort. When miraculously my hand reach on her throat, i felt a piece of a treat little bit bigger to the size of a quarter coin that was blocking her airway and got it out. So much thankful to God. As i was praying while doing that. He gave my dog a second life.

I just saved my little pug puppy. We only brought him into our family a month ago; he is my first dog. I didn't expect him to choke on his food. It was terrifying, and I acted on instinct, cleaning his mouth and pressing on his lungs. I didn’t understand how to apply this technique to a dog. By some miracle, after a minute of madness, I saved him. Then we sat silently in each other’s arms for two minutes. Now he is sleeping, and I’m watching this video and sending it to all my family members. Never leave your dog alone with food.
