Xiaomi M365 battery repair by BMS replacement

Most battery problems may be solved in less than an hour, no requiring special skills and tools.

Xiaomi M365 is an excellent electric scooter, but it has a weakness: the battery, which can fail for a number of reasons. This video demonstrates an universal solution, that allows to fix all factory defects, as well as adding new useful features to the scooter. We will throw out from the battery unreliable factory electronics, installing a compatible smart BMS instead.

Please note that good condition of battery cells is necessary for successful repair. This can be checked by measuring the voltage. If cell’s voltage is in the range from 2.5 to 4.2 volts, it is OK, otherwise it must be replaced.

A battery equipped with a new BMS can be flexibly configured. It is possible to set capacitance, output current, discharge curve, and much more. Check the user manual for the full list of available settings.

Brilliant product and instructions. Well done dude. My fault was: the old BMS showed the wrong voltage on two of the cells, thus stopping the charging. The real voltage measured with a voltmeter was OK. This new BMS has the voltage sensing on the board, and not on some fragile flexible circuit board next to the battery, so I am sure it will be more robust. You saved my M365, thank you. Buy European!

HI. I have a Copy of 365pro. It actually stopped working. Replaced the dashboard and motherboard and now have error code of no communication with battery. On my scooter the brake light plugged into motherboard where your 3 strand green white and yellow.plugs in. I am confident now that the BMS you used will work for me. I had to watch this video 3 times though. Many thanks.

Great work, can another 6 batteries can fit inside the M365 to give 12s3p? If so the the factory charger could be changed to increase voltage. Easy upgrade to 40km
