Zuko: “He’s my uncle.”
ATLA Fans: “Our uncle.”

Iroh definitely one of the best Avatar characters.

Iroh probably liked Sokka’s letter the most. He would’ve found it funny, but also sincere. I imagine he’d have given a hearty laugh after reading Sokka’s

I love how he didn't "die" in the traditional sense. He just woke up one morning, wrote a memoir, decided that he wanted to enter the spirit world and just didn't bother coning back.

I think it’s incredible that he went to live in the spirit world. Honestly, it fits his character so well.

I like the respect shown by Aang and Katara. Aang referring to Iroh as Master and Katara referring to him by his rank.

Sokkas note is kinda satirical tbh. Not that disrespectful, more like playful?

When iroh is nice, you get tea
When iroh is angry, u get more tea; not the boot
Iroh is one of my favorite atla characters

How does Uncle Iroh effortlessly make a grown man tearbend? He’s just that Uncle every person needs in their lives.

You know what I just realized. Zuko can visit Unlce Iroh through the spirit portals in the South Pole, North pole, and republic city.

1:56 Sokka’s letter isn’t disrespectful. It’s just that he doesn’t react well to death, and so in his letter he reacts in the only way he knows how, which is comedy and satire

Bruh Sokka's letter is so out of character. The real Sokka would have been more thoughtful and passionate. Also, I wish Iroh called Zuko "my son" instead of "my nephew" in the end. It would have been twice as touching.

Iroh is one of my all time favourite characters, not just from Avatar but from any media. He's just somehow a perfectly written character, he's a fully empathic person with a wealth of wisdom but they managed to not make him preachy and keep him completely believable and human.

Uncle Iroh's death is one of the worst days in history

That's not fair, he's tearbending my eyes.

I expected a lot more gratitude form Sokka. He may not always tell how it is but throw a joke in here and there, but he would have said a lot more. I definitely see a page worth of thanks to Iroh from Sokka, and I can see not finishing his letter without cracking a little Sokka joke in there too. We have seen Sokka's thoughtful side. I'm shocked he was not portrayed the Sokka we know in this letter. Sokka was a lot more accepting of Zuko than Katara.

This Sokka in the letter sounds more like the Sokka in the live action film from 2009 I refuse to even name.

I guess Zuko didn't put any effort into the letter because he knows Iroh will never read it. Katara cares about the gesture and Zuko just cares about the result, which there is none.

1:46 yes Sokka, Meelo brought your dream to reality.
On a more serious note, i wish they didn't make Sokka's note seem so childish/rude.
