How many Edison’s does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Non, Tesla will do it and Edison will take credit

Nikola Tesla deserves being taught about more in school. He was one of the most talented minds. Edison did alot to slander Tesla..

You forgot to mention that in Edison's later years: he also became somewhat unhinged, believing he was being haunted by the spirits of the animals that he electrocuted (including an elephant).

I was taught very little about Tesla at school. Knowing what I’ve learnt about him since, I’m actually quite annoyed he was overlooked

Little disappointed that the video didn't go more into teslas history.
But seeing the comments here and how a lot of people see Tesla as the genius that he was, gives me hope.

Question posed to Albert Einstein: "How does it feel to be the smartest man on earth?"
Einstein: "I don't know, you'll have to ask Nikola Tesla"

Thank god you mentioned Westinghouse, nobody ever gives him as much credit as the other two, because quite frankly Tesla couldn’t have afforded to do any of his work without him.

As most geniuses, Tesla was underrated during his time, mainly because nobody can understand his genius. Good thing he is now known, and a consolation for him that all he was, was not in vain, like the life he lived and sadly how he died.

Edison was just a businessman and took other peoples work, But Tesla had the brains to experiment and make things.

Tesla was abused his whole life and died in poverty. His life is one of the saddest stories ever told. We just lost one of the greatest minds ever because people suck, being genius is not enough. :/

If you go read enough history Tesla invented the radio first. In modern times it's commonly been re-accredited to him. And he had millions of other inventions that were not discussing here including the Tesla valve which is being reinvestigated today for water and fluid flow and it's proving out to be better than anything we've designed in the computer age.

Nikola Tesla wrote an amazing autobiography titled My Inventions, it’s a short book but it’s witty and worth the read. I adore Tesla and all of his strange and quirky ways. People often make fun of him for his love of pigeons and one in particular which he nursed back to health. He said he loved her as a wife probably because he was a lonely man who never found love or married, which is kinda sad but not nearly as sad as his psychopathic rival who electrocuted cats, dogs, horses and an elephant in public only to prove himself wrong with D/C. Fuck Edison, team Tesla forever!!!

Since Thoughty2 really weakly covered Teslas Inventions here are a few:

1. The Tesla Coil
2. the Magnifying Transmitter
3. the Tesla Turbine
4. The Shadowgraph
5. The Radio
6. The Neon Lamp
7. Niagara Falls Transformer House
7. Radio Controlled Boat

Totally he has around 196 patents across the world. Man was a true genius. It's not even FAIR to put him at the same category as Edison. Edison was a business man and Tesla was an inventor!

Tesla wanted to give humanity free electricity forever.
Edison just wanted to get rich.

I always love your scientific explanations. The ability to sum up the major points without innundating the viewer with massive amounts of information cannot be understated. Massive kudos sir

Can you imagine if Edison would have paid Tesla the 50k and continued to work together. The technology advancements would have been insane.

Edison is probably the most overrated person in history. He wasn't inventor. He was businessman abusing inventors and taking credit. That's literally it. We should just stop talking about him.

Being an insomniac, and batshit crazy... Tesla gives me hope.

I absolutely loved David Bowie's portrayal of Tesla in the movie The Prestige. RIP, David.
