I agree with you: Lie groups are awesome and God should be praised for that and for enabling/inspiring Sophus Lie to discover them.

clear, simple....a magister explanation, no doubts about

What are the pre-requisites for this lecture? Is calculus and linear algebra enough? Thanks!

I just got the joke at @5:20 lol . Idk if that was deliberate:
They told him "Your book's in the mail, "
he thought "that could be a lie" :-D
I also have this book, and when people come over and see it, they read the title and ask me if it's about lying.
I say "it's a Math textbook, "
they look at the title again and say "Nice try buddy, but I'm not falling for that!"

I think convergence of limits of inverses points to continuity, but not necessarily differentiability.

I could be wrong but I thkink James Maxwell expressed his electrodynamics equations in quaternions. Not even sure the vector notation used today was available in his day.

could you work with the Clifford algebra instead of quarternions in another video?

Stillwell has quite an interesting Mathematics history
Additionally, some professors will say that a circle is a Locus of Points...

yes the prayers seem weird to me. I'm an atheist. But your lectures are very good. Thank you!

Did he just start the lecture with a prayer?? Hmm, didn't seem to work that much considering the several mistakes in the talk. 🤔
He looks like a nice guy, the textbook is a good choice, but he needs to keep his religion out of this.

your math is good, but your prayers have nothing whatsoever to do with math or science in general, so please, do spare us your jumbo mumbo you inflict on your few followers who don't give a straw about your religion. keep it out of science man and be as honest as the math you profess so well by the way.
no harm meant and thank you all the same.
