I’ve just realised that when I get in a rut, it’s because I haven’t reached for my journal for a few days... and that’s where I spend time each morning to plan out my tasks, mind-map, and focus my thoughts. Thanks for this reminder😊

Great video! I also find it helpful to ask, 'What needs to be done before I can complete this?' Even something as simple as a phone call or booking an appointment can be put off because you don't have the number, for example. Sometimes we're just thinking too many steps ahead.

I procrastinate when I'm feeling overwhelm. If I take baby steps/bite-sized pieces and listen to an interesting podcast, I feel so much better and find that I accomplish a lot more,

i have procrastinated writing my master thesis for so long, i can't believe 10 months have passed and i haven't written a single letter yet. i have been struggling with trauma and then corona happened and i fell into a bad depressive episode that i'm still trying to get out of. your videos are the only thing that's keeping me sane, i started weekly reviews, mind mapping and I incorporated a lot of the strategies you talk about and tbh i still haven't started writing my thesis but at least i'm taking care of myself better. Depression made it so hard for me to shower or even brush my teeth, but now i'm showering daily, working out 30 minutes a day, cooking healthy meals and eating 3 to 5 times a day, before i used to go days without eating. These sound very trivial and not a big deal but they are to me, i feel human again, and although the thought of starting my thesis scares me and makes me want to pass out, i know i can eventually do it. Thank you for changing my life <3 i'll keep on working harder to be the better version of myself

Yes!! Also, thinking WITHOUT distractions! I find that when I avoid getting things done has a lot to do with being easily distracted.

The topic of mental resistance is SO TRUE and important to discuss/tackle. I've struggled with this many years in achieving my own personal goals. Sometimes the excuse was life experiences or health issues, but most of the time it was laziness, procrastination and/or fear. But I'm been really buckling down on this and doing my own self-awareness sessions and now I'm slowly getting more productive :) Thanks Muchelle!

I have several of your most recent videos on my watch later list - I'm even procrastinating in YouTube world! :O But in all seriousness, thank you for the video, I needed this reminder. I have a lot of personal goals and I come home from work and those goals suddenly don't matter anymore because I'm so tired. But my job ends in a couple days, then I get a two week break of just me time until my new semester starts... I'm realizing that I need to start taking action like you said. There are always things that come up. For me, it's work and it makes me tired and feel unproductive. And then it'll be school next... And then something else and something else and something else. Stuff to interrupt my goals. BUT. I can't let it interrupt my goals. I can use my time wisely and keep to my try-and-sometimes-fail-at motto: "Do a little bit of everything every day." Then slowly but surely, everything will get done. Anyway, rant complete. Thank you for sharing such an amazing channel with people such as me who crave and hope for a happy life and realizing that it's possible to get it. <3
