Never heard of the movie "The Journey" I found it on Ebay. Bought it watched it loved it ! Yul Brynner's acting was superb ! Definitely should have been another Oscar for him there. His character eclipsed everyone's even Jason Robards Jr's. Deborah's prim & proper "oh, no no no" Lady Ashmore got a bit on the nerves but I have to remember this was made in 1959. And compared with todays films where nothing is left to the imagination in the full on sex scenes, this movie was pretty hot with only one real kiss scene in it. The ending was there was a couple of tears there for me.

I wish someone would post the original Russian folk song from this movie. No-one knows who wrote or performed it and it doesn't seem to exist anywhere else.Sugababes? Meh.
